LANZ + LANZ feat. Noel B.

Claudio and Christian Lanz are music producers and DJs from Hannover. The brothers run a studio and music label called “Produkton Entertainment” and share a love of “pop music you can dance to”. Their LANZ + LANZ project brings together their musician friends and exceptionally talented singers from totally different musical genres. In this project they use recording equipment from the 1960s and 1970s to transport the authentic sound of those decades into modern pop music. The result is a unique sound: new vintage dance pop!

Take Me To The Matador

There are some songs that you just never forget. Garland Jeffreys’ “Matador” was a huge hit in the early 1980s and has remained a favourite of Claudio and Christian since their early childhood. The mysterious lyric and the influences from rock, reggae and mariachi music have lost nothing of their attraction in the meantime. As producers and DJs, the brothers had always hoped that they would be able to record a new version of this song and give it a new profile “you can dance to” without destroying the essence of the original. Besides Noel B., other brilliant musicians from the Hannover scene have worked on this project: Niklas Turmann (guitar), Hervé Jeanne (bass), Gary Winters (trumpet).
